El Paso's Neon Desert moved to Labor Day weekend as city fights spread of coronavirus

Organizers of Neon Desert announced Monday they are moving the epic music festival to Labor Day weekend.

The Neon Desert has typically been held during Memorial Day weekend. Coronavirus was not mentioned as being the cause but organizers said on Twitter the move was made in cooperation with the city in the best interest of the city and encouraged people to stay safe.

Organizers said they worked with the city and came up with dates of Sept. 5-6. They said they look forward to celebrating their 10th year anniversary in El Paso.

No mention of entertainment lineup or whether two artists who previously announced their performances are still scheduled.
