The final decision for the return to face-to-face instruction for students in Special Education DSC classes as well as Life Skills Classes and Structure Communication Class will be made on or before this Friday, according to GISD.

In the past month, Yucca Heights Elementary, La Union Elementary, Anthony Elementary and Gadsden High have all temporarily closed at different times due to confirmed or potential COVID-19 cases in the buildings.

After any GISD employee reports feeling ill, the campus or work location begins sanitizing procedures and the District Nursing Department conducts contact tracing to determine other employees who interacted with the employee.
